Acting on advice from the government and Archery GB in relation to COVID-19, we have suspended all of our public archery events until further notice. We have postponed our taster sessions and beginners’ courses, as well as the Bill Tucker open tournament. As of June 2020 we have just begun to restart socially distanced archery for club members under the Government phase one scheme. We will be holding discussions about possibly rescheduling some of our events and we will keep everyone posted. Thank you everyone, and we hope you are all staying safe in these difficult times.
Perhaps you have never shot a bow before and wonder what it is like, or maybe you have been inspired by the Olympics and fancy a go yourself. If so then one of our taster sessions could be for you. We run a series of 90 minute introductory sessions each year where we show you the basic technique then get you shooting as quickly as possible. The cost is £10 per session. We take up to 12 people on each session with a minimum age of 10 years. It is ideal as a family activity so why not give it a go?
Places are often booked as birthday presents etc, so feel free to fill in a form with your own contact details and mention on the form that it is a gift for somebody else. If you have any questions then please feel free to email us.
Click on the appropriate date below to access the application form and send it in as per the instructions on the form.

If our courses are full or our dates don’t suit you then you can try Perris Archery as they run lessons indoors throughout the year. We deal regularly with Perris and will accept membership applications from beginners if you have completed one of their courses or a course organised by another Archery GB affiliated archery club. Phone the Raydon branch for details on 01473 314097, but please note their opening times are Wed 12pm-5pm, Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 10am-4pm.
Please note that if a session is cancelled by CADAC then the club will organise another session to replace it. If you fail to turn up for a session then you will not be entitled to another. Sessions will normally take place even if it is raining so please bring a waterproof with you. We will only cancel the session if there is persistent heavy rain, lightening, high winds or fog. This will be at CADAC’s discretion on the grounds of safety and is non-negotiable . You will be provided with contact details in advance, but if you are unsure about the weather and cannot contact us on the day then turn up anyway as someone will be there to inform you of the rescheduled date if we do have to cancel a session.
If you have any questions please contact Kieron by email.
